PERSPECTIVES

The eagle.
His vision is broad,
As he effortlessly soars
Over the vast valley.

He is drawn
To the other side of the mountain,
Beyond the horizon.
Ever gliding towards a new height.

Yes,
His vision is broad
But at such distances,
Not always too clear.

But an eagle is an eagle and not a bear.

A bear is a bear...IS A BEAR... iS a BeAr.

The bear.
He roves his territory,
Senses in tune.
Over hills, through the forest,
Exploring what's anew
In his long trusted home.

A lumbering sloth he's not
He can be as quick as a deer.

Yes,
He keeps his senses in tune,
But with a life in the forest
He often misses the views.

Some of us belong to the Way of the eagle,
And some of us, the Way of the bear.

A problem exists.
Each of us is deprived
Of a life we resist.

The eagle must land
To see the world from the ground
On which we stand.

The bear must set upon a quest
To see the stretch of the horizon
From the eagle's nest.

And in the end...

The Eagle becomes more an eagle

And the Bear knows he's a bear.
